Roadside Technician

Roadside Technician (Field based) providing roadsideassistancefor a national breakdown company with over 15 million members.Great salary, benefits,overtimeand bonus opportunities.

Pay / salary:Base: £41,600 (inclusive of LWA) OTE: Up to £66,000

Shift and schedulefor the Roadside Technician role
40 hours per week between 6am and 12pm, Monday to Sunday. Shifts known 4 months in advance. Flexi and / or optional fixed overtime at £30 per hour. All hours start and stop fromhome, as soon asyou start the van.

Job Responsibilities for the Roadside Technician role

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, including battery replacements, wheel changes, and minor engine fixes.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issuesanddeterminerepair options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repairisntpossible, ensuring member mobility.
• Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed.
• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.

Whatyoullneed to a be considered for the Roadside Technician role

• Must have a minimum of Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, orequivalent)
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles. Either in a workshop or mobile vehicle type role.
• A customer-focused approach
• Must have a full UK driving licence - max 6 points, no bans
