Are you ready to make a significant impact in a collaborative environment? We are seeking a passionate Quality Engineer to join our Royal Navy Redevelopment team in the heart of Plymouth!

\n\nLocation & Hours\n

Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth

\n

Hours: 40 hours per week (some flexibility available—just let us know when we chat!)

\n\nImportant Information\n

Please note that we are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship for this role. Additionally, due to the high-security nature of the site, candidates must hold a British Passport and will need to undergo SC level security clearance, which can take up to 8 weeks to process.

\n\nAbout Us\n

KierBAM is a dynamic Joint Venture between Kier and BAM Nuttall, currently engaged in an exciting redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth. This is your chance to contribute to a major infrastructure project while working in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere!

\n\nYour Responsibilities\n

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in our Quality Management team, ensuring the effective implementation of quality systems and maintaining the highest standards throughout the project lifecycle. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Implementing and maintaining an effective Quality Management System across all project levels.
  • \n
  • Conducting internal audits and ensuring timely resolution of any findings.
  • \n
  • Reviewing Inspection and Test Plans and supporting progressive sign-off through client engagement.
  • \n
  • Managing the material approval process and ensuring appropriate certification is obtained.
  • \n
  • Providing guidance, training, and mentoring to site teams on quality matters.
  • \n
\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You hold a relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Quality, or Construction (HNC, BSc, MSc, BEng, or MEng).
  • \n
  • You have experience working with Quality Management Systems and understand their practical application.
  • \n
  • You’re an excellent communicator who enjoys collaborating with diverse teams.
  • \n
  • You’re detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • \n
  • You hold or can obtain a CSCS White PQP/AQP card and SC level security clearance (British passport holders only).
